The hardest thing about quilting for me is knowing what pattern or design to stitch and where. My friend Kristen gave me a simple hexagon pillow sham and asked me to quilt it. I drew out a design and was so pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. I'm still practicing my custom quilting and this I have to say is quite possibly my favorite thing I've quilted so far.
I used a curved ruler to create the flowers and then pebbled the rest. Special thanks to a craftsy class I took by Kimmy Brunner who inspired me to try my rulers again. (First time using a straight ruler I broke 3 needles and then broke my ruler in half!!!!). I took my time and made some marks…my results:
